Rimfire Silhouette Shooting

At High Lonesome Silhouette Club

What is a silhouette match?  A silhouette match consists of 40 shots fired at 40 steel targets.  These targets are at four different distances and all shots are fired from the off-hand position.  The shooter has 10 chickens at 40 meters, 10 pigs at 60 meters, 10 turkeys at 77 meters and 10 rams at 100 meters. The shooter receives one shot at each target and their score is determined by the number of targets that are knocked down. The targets are in banks of 5 and the shooter will have 2min. and 30sec. to fire at each bank of targets.

There are many different types of silhouette matches held at HLSC.
